iToBoS

intelligent Total Body Scanner for early detection of Melanoma
About
iToBoS is a research project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement 965221. The project started 1 April 2021, has a duration of 48 months and a total budget of 12 million Euro.
iToBoS' scope is to train an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system that integrate information from different sources: dermoscopic images, complete medical records and genomics data to develop and validate a new diagnostic device. This device will, together with an AI cognitive assistant, allow healthcare practitioners to detect Melanoma early and with high accuracy.

Why patient advocates should know about
Polygenic Risk Scores

"Patients on our forums ask why they got melanoma, if they and their family have a higher risk of new Melanomas or progression, and if they can do anything about it"
Gilly Spurrier
MPNE core
"With Melanoma therapies moving into earlier stages, risk-based strategies for follow-up and early detection become increasingly important."
Bettina Ryll
MPNE founder
